We are Jim and Yolanda Warren. Our beginnings date back to 1990, when we got the idea to open up a small shop selling aerobics and body building wear in Tampa. One of our initial accomplishments was to make all the outfits worn in the first YMCA fitness video produced.
Since ‘mass production’ of the items sold by others made it difficult to be competitive, we began to think of where we could go from there.
It just so happened our shop was 2 blocks away from the Tampa Sportatorium, and Jim came up with the idea to get into making wrestling outfits. We began pounding the pavement, attending local shows and the business took off. The Cuban Assassin and Ricky Santana were among our early stars. Soon after, the quality of our work, and the awesome detailed designs caught the eye of someone who knew Kevin Sullivan of World Championship Wrestling.
That’s all it took, and through word of mouth, our list of clientele came to include: Dean Malenko, Meng, Mike Rotundo, Shark Attack, Prince Iaukea, Chavo Guerrero, Hugh Morris, Barbarian, Jimmy Hart, the Giant, and Lanny Poffo, among others.
Not long after that, a phone call came from the World Wrestling Federation and that led to a 3 ˝ year contract touring to all live shows, pay-per-views, and tv tapings in the capacity of costume designer/seamstress. Our list grew to include: Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Scotty Too Hotty, Brain Christopher, Midian, Val Venis, Rikishi, Test, Prince Albert, Acolytes, Al Snow, Taz, Jerry Lynn, Brock Lesner, Hurricane Helms, Bob Holly, Crash Holly, Gangrel, Billy Kidman and more.
Several months after 9-11, the WWE ratings fell, and the seamstress staff was cut in half, and I was let go from the WWE. Since there was no other major wrestling organization to go to, I took up working with leather and using my talent and knowledge of graphics, applied it to leather and leather cloth.
Consequently, we got involved in the growing motorcycle industry, making custom leather jackets, appliques for leather jackets and putting graphics on motorcycle seats.
We have now expanded our business to cater to all entertainers and musicians of all genres; and individuals from all walks of life who want a custom look at an affordable price.
Our outfits have been on the cover of TV Guide magazines, in the movie ‘Ready to Rumble’,in an L.A. Times article, in countless numbers of magazines and on wrestling action figures.
Our specialty is in designing for the stage and TV perspective, using leather, leather cloth, spandex and denim. We can use your design or draw up a design for you. All graphics are hand-cut, and machine sewn; can be done in combination with stitch work or just stitch work by itself . They can be either simple, or extremely intricate. The stitch work is flawless and the graphics themselves, visually stunning! There is no mass production. We are a husband and wife team and do all the work ourselves. Truly made in the USA by Americans!
We invite you to search the web and you will find that our work stands alone in creativity, intricacy of designs, attention to detail, and quality of stitch work. We are the Graphics Masters and look forward to designing for you for whatever your needs may be!
